On October 7, a series of tragic events unfolded as Hamas terrorists launched an attack on Israel, targeting the Supernova music festival among other locations. Emily Damari and Ori were among those kidnapped from their homes and the festival, respectively, and have been held captive in Gaza for over 139 days. In a related incident, a volunteer security squad from an Israeli kibbutz fatally shot a festival attendee, mistaking him for a terrorist. The attack also claimed the lives of several individuals, including Inbar Haiman, who was volunteering at the festival, and Hanani Glazer, the partner of Rafaela Triestman who was attending the event. Moran Stella Yanai, another abductee, was held in Gaza for 54 days before being released. At least 32 hostages have died in Hamas captivity. The incidents have sparked widespread concern and calls for the immediate release of those still held captive.
