The United States and its allies are advocating for Taiwan's participation in the upcoming World Health Assembly (WHA77). Despite the enactment of the bipartisan Taiwan WHO Act, Taiwan has not yet received an invitation to attend. Taiwanese officials, including Minister Chiu of the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW), are in Geneva to push for Taiwan's inclusion. At a joint press conference, Minister Chiu, alongside other Taiwanese representatives, emphasized Taiwan's capability to contribute to global health and called for international support. Representative Young Kim has pressed Secretary Blinken for answers regarding Taiwan's exclusion. The Formosa Club, with its 25 co-chairs, has also expressed support for Taiwan, condemning China's military drills and backing Taiwan's participation in the WHA77.
