Social media platform X has updated the 'show more comments' button to display 'show probable spam' instead. This change has sparked mixed reactions, with some users questioning why their posts are being labeled as 'probable spam' when they are not spam-related. The new label is seen as a way to hide certain replies, particularly conservative voices, under the fold, requiring users to actively request to view them.
This new "probable spam" label allows X to put normal conservative replies "under the fold" so the comments don't get seen unless the user willfully asks to "see spam." The thing is, it's NOT spam.
Why is X labeling normal conservative replies in my feed as "probable spam?" https://t.co/FEAdiUcL4W
Have you noticed the new "Probable Spam" label X is using? This is just a new way for them to limit conservative voices. I already had one reply this morning labeled as "probable spam" that wasn't remotely spam-like.
