Twitter's recent decision to make likes private, a move overseen by Elon Musk, has sparked a range of reactions among users. Some users have noted an increase in the number of likes their posts receive, attributing this to the privacy of likes. Others have expressed concerns about the potential for increased negative or controversial content, such as xenophobic tweets, as users feel more free to engage without public scrutiny. The change has led to a more risqué and unexpected timeline for some, while others appreciate the ability to like content without fear of repercussions. Some users are now raking in hundreds of likes trivially. The move has also raised questions about the impact on Twitter's culture and the potential for a rise in discriminatory or offensive content.
I love that likes are private now. People can like what they agree with without repercussions. I would guess this literally removes Wokeness from Twitter but there will be a lot more racism
I'm raking in hundreds of likes sorta trivially now It's implausible that my game has improved I'm also past my activity peak So. Why? Was my content really so… controversial that people wanted privacy of engagement?
I will say with likes being private now I am getting more spicy and unexpected ones than I used to
My timeline has gotten more and more risqué after the private likes rollout.
Can't wait till Elon suddenly unprivatizes likes and everyone can see what fucked up degenerate shit everyone's been liking.
i notice all of my xenophobic tweets are performing much better ever since likes became hidden
please bring back showing likes i need to see who my haters are @elonmusk 🙏
Definitely seems like posts get a lot more likes now that likes are private I also realize that there were many things I agreed with but didn’t like because others could see bold but probably good decision
