Recent surveys by Pew Research Center and other sources indicate a significant increase in perceptions of discrimination against Jews and Muslims in the U.S. The share of U.S. adults believing there is a lot of discrimination against Jews has doubled from 20% in 2021 to 40% currently. Additionally, 44% believe Muslims face a lot of discrimination, up from 39% three years ago. The Israel-Hamas conflict has been linked to a rise in anti-Muslim and anti-Palestinian sentiment, leading to a spike in hate crimes across the country. The surveys also show that a majority of Americans feel expressing opposition to Israel's right to exist should be allowed.
