Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has strongly condemned the International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor's request for arrest warrants against him, his defense minister, and other Israeli leaders over alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Speaking on Tuesday, Netanyahu described the move as 'absurd,' 'a moral outrage of historic proportions,' and 'beyond outrageous.' He compared the charges to prosecuting both George Bush and Bin Laden for 9/11 or both FDR and Hitler for WWII. Netanyahu also accused the ICC prosecutor of attempting to defame Israel and inflame anti-Semitism, calling the prosecutor 'rogue' and the plan a 'hit job' that casts a 'terrible stain' on the court. The arrest warrants also target Hamas leaders.
