The United States has expanded its sanctions against Russia, targeting 300 additional individuals and entities linked to Moscow's war economy. This includes new sanctions on over 30 companies and individuals in China and Hong Kong, as well as new export controls on four Chinese companies for procuring components for Russia's war efforts in Ukraine. The US Department of State and Treasury announced these measures on Wednesday as part of ongoing efforts to intensify pressure on Russia for its continued aggression in Ukraine. The US is also considering further actions against Chinese firms supplying Russia's defense sector.
