Today, more than 100K Taiwanese took to the streets to demand transparency in the legislative process as legislators were scheduled to resume voting on a set of controversial legislative reforms, some would give the Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) and Taiwan. Two friends in Taiwan report that, just a few hours ago, 100,000 people were on the streets in Taipei rallying against the pro-China KMT’s plan to “reform” the legislature.
