The National Weather Service (NWS) revised the number of tornadoes that touched down in Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia on June 5 from the initial count of seven to 13. Among them were six EF1 tornadoes, the most of that rating in Maryland in a single day since 1950. Baltimore City also experienced one tornado.
