The Department of Justice (DOJ) continues to pursue legal actions against individuals involved in the January 6 Capitol riot. Chris Belliveau made his initial appearance in court, accused of wearing a helmet with a tinted visor and carrying a bullhorn and a hockey stick with a flag wrapped around it. Andrew Millard also appeared in court, charged with entering a private Senate room and using a radio device amid the mob. Quinn Keen faces a sentencing hearing, with prosecutors seeking 27 months in prison for pushing a police officer, throwing items at law enforcement, and smoking marijuana. Nathan Mackie, Brandon Mackie, and Daniel Hatcher have a plea hearing scheduled, accused of entering the Capitol through a smashed Senate window. Anthony Mastanduno's sentencing is set, with prosecutors seeking six years in prison for launching a flagpole-like object at police. The DOJ has announced the arrest of another Proud Boy, Troy Garrett, accused of pushing a large billboard into a police line. Additionally, a school board member in Frederick County, Virginia, faces a 45-day sentence for his participation in the riot. The DOJ has secured over 820 plea deals related to the January 6 events. A longtime member of the Freedom Corner vigil was also taken into custody on charges related to the riot. The trial for Jonathan Pollock and co-defendants is set for October 15, after Pollock was captured exactly three years after the attack.
