Ukraine has formed a joint venture with German company Rheinmetall, named Rheinmetall - Ukrainian Defense Industry LLC, to maintain and repair equipment, as announced by Prime Minister Shmygal on October 18. Amidst the Middle East conflict, Kiev is urging the West to increase weapon production, as reported by the Financial Times. Despite facing ammunition shortages, Ukraine is planning to boost its defense industry by increasing ammunition production through state and private enterprises and producing tens of thousands of drones monthly by year-end, despite Russian attacks.
