Rheinmetall, a German defense company, has increased its forecast for the annual production of artillery shells for 2024. The company will produce €142 million worth of artillery ammunition for Ukraine and hand it over in 2025. President Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine is now producing six 2S22 Bohdana 155mm SPGs per month. Rheinmetall has won a contract worth over $150 million to produce tens of thousands of NATO standard shells for Ukraine, to be delivered in 2025. The contract will be fulfilled by Rheinmetall Expal Munitions, a Spanish subsidiary.
