The European Union has reached a provisional political agreement to provide a €50 billion ($54 billion) Ukraine Facility, aimed at supporting Ukraine amidst the war and economic crisis. EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that the first tranche of funding will be disbursed in March. The EU's commitment to Ukraine was further emphasized by the visit of EU Foreign Affairs Representative Josep Borrell to Kyiv, where he discussed increased military support, including the supply of 1 million artillery rounds, and Ukraine's EU and NATO membership aspirations. During his visit, Borrell also showcased the EU's support through the delivery of a DOK-ING MV-10 demining system and visited an Interior Ministry training facility where EU advisors are training Ukrainian police and National Guard.
