Tensions are rising on college campuses as students react to the Israel-Hamas war. At the University of Washington, a student club celebrated terrorist attacks against Israel, referring to Hamas as "martyrs of Palestine." The university president, Ana Mari Cauce, seemingly took no issue with the message and referred to the terrorists as "Hamas gunmen." Top American colleges are seeking to quell anti-Israel sentiment in the wake of the Hamas attacks. Former Harvard president, Lawrence Summers, is feuding with the university over its response to terrorism against Israel. Harvard students who signed letters in support of Hamas reportedly panicked and canceled a previously scheduled "solidarity vigil." The head of Harvard stated that the students do not speak for the school after the widely condemned Hamas-Israel statement. A billboard truck accusing two Harvard students of being anti-Semites caused controversy on campus. Students at George Washington University and UC-Berkeley also held rallies in support of Palestine and Hamas. Jewish students at the University of Washington expressed distress and pleaded with a professor to shut down a pro-Hamas rally, stating, "They want us dead!" Pro-Palestinian students also held a rally at Columbia University. Overall, student groups are pulling back on controversial Israel-Hamas statements, and there is a growing concern among young Jews on campuses across the U.S.

There was a billboard truck on Harvard campus accusing two students of being anti semites. I won’t post the truck yet as I haven’t confirmed the message, and unlike Harvard Hamas, I have morals. But the truck is causing a lot of grief! See campus email re: the billboard truck. https://t.co/Sjf2JcD0t7
