A recent discussion has emerged among Republicans regarding the legacy of former President Ronald Reagan. A poll indicated that 78% of Republicans believe Reagan will be remembered as an outstanding or above-average president, closely followed by Donald Trump at 76%, while only 5% say the same for current President Joe Biden. Opinions are divided within the party; some credit Reagan with major achievements like winning the Cold War and restoring national faith post-Vietnam, despite acknowledging that 'mistakes were made.' Others, however, criticize his policies, particularly migrant amnesty, and label him as one of the worst presidents. The debate also includes comparisons between Reagan and Trump, with some preferring Trump's legacy, highlighting a divide in perception among conservatives.
Ronald Reagan was one of our best presidents.

Such a stupid take. Clearly, Reagan made some big mistakes, especially migrant amnesty. But he won the Cold War and he restored faith in America that was so badly needed in a post-Vietnam era. It’s a luxury of young “conservatives” to hate on Reagan. https://t.co/c2EIKkizqm
The lamest thing the "new right" does is pretend Reagan was actually a terrible president. Mistakes were made, but they were no more egregious than the last Republican president they all love.
