Armenia's diplomatic relations with Belarus continue to deteriorate as the Armenian government engages with Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated he will not visit Belarus as long as President Alexander Lukashenko remains in power. In a recent warm meeting in Vilnius, Tsikhanouskaya thanked Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan for Armenia's firm and principled stance against Lukashenko's regime and expressed hopes for continued cooperation between Armenia and the Belarusian Democratic Forces.
