Tom Suozzi, a New York Democrat, has announced that he is running to replace George Santos in the House of Representatives. Santos, who is already facing fraud and money-laundering charges, has been hit with new allegations, including making false statements to the FEC. The charges against Santos involve credit card schemes and identity theft. New York lawmakers, both Democrats and Republicans, are calling for Santos to resign or be expelled from Congress. Santos, however, is maintaining his innocence and vowing to fight the charges. Meanwhile, prosecutors in Guatemala and Honduras are also dealing with corruption allegations against their respective leaders.
