Canada's former Justice Minister, David Lametti, has resigned from parliament after a federal court ruled the Trudeau government's use of the Emergencies Act and crypto freeze during the crackdown on freedom protesters as unconstitutional. The court's decision, which found the actions to be an abuse of power, also noted that the CBC had retracted an article about foreign funding used to justify the act. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland were found guilty of misusing the act, amidst accusations that the Liberal Government relied on fabricated intelligence. The ruling has prompted the return of the freedom truckers, and despite this, Ontario's deputy premier stated that the province's support for invoking the Emergencies Act remains firm. Rebel News has filed a lawsuit to prevent the destruction of government records in relation to the case.
