Marlins manager Skip Schumaker was mistakenly ejected from the game against the Tigers after home plate umpire Ben May misidentified him as the source of chirping from the Marlins' bench. Schumaker, who was confused and argued that he was not the one making the comments, led the umpires to reverse their decision and instead eject Marlins bench coach Luis Urueta.

It was Marlins bench coach Luis Urueta that got ejected.
