Mike Norvell, head coach of Florida State University's football team, has been named the Super 11 Coach of the Year by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA). Norvell was recognized for his outstanding media access, including opening up practices every week and making every coach and player available to the media. This honor highlights Norvell's commitment to transparency and communication within the college sports community. The Super 11 Awards also recognized the best performing College Sports Communicators departments, including those at BYU, Cal, Clemson, Illinois, Kansas State, Kentucky, LSU, Navy, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Pitt.
They should rename the award after him. In this day and age, to open up practices every week to the media and to make every coach and player (even freshmen!) available is incredible. Hope other coaches around the country follow suit. But who am i kidding? Norvell is 1 of 1. https://t.co/1gaEE2e5Ko
