Pro-Palestine activists, under the banner of Youth Demand, have launched a series of protests targeting the UK Labour Party headquarters and the Ministry of Defence with red paint, symbolizing blood, to voice their opposition to the UK's arms dealings with Israel. The protests, which began on April 8, 2024, aim to pressure both the Labour Party and the Conservative government to commit to a two-way arms embargo on Israel, in light of the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The activists accuse the Labour Party of being complicit in the murder of Palestinians, with claims of thousands killed in Gaza, including 12,000 children. The demonstrations have seen the Labour Party HQ drenched in red paint, with similar actions taken against the Ministry of Defence, under the accusation of "Blood on their hands!" Daniel Knorr, a spokesman for Youth Demand, stated, "We're going to do whatever it takes until the government meets our demands." Several activists have been arrested following the protest at the Ministry of Defence headquarters.
