A majority of Israelis, ranging from 56% to 86% according to different polls, believe that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should resign after the conflict with Palestine. Netanyahu's unwillingness to take responsibility for Israel's security failures in the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attack has fueled calls for his resignation. The Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post reported that four out of five Jews blame the government and Netanyahu for the Hamas operation against Israel. A recent survey by Channel 13 found that 56% of respondents do not trust Netanyahu to manage the war, while 29% want him to resign immediately and 47% want him to resign at the end of the current conflict. There is growing anger within Israel at Netanyahu, with people criticizing his failure to protect them on October 7th and his focus on the West Bank. Tel Aviv recently witnessed the largest demonstration since the beginning of the war, with 76% of Israelis no longer trusting Netanyahu personally.
