Partners in Israel's Leviathan gas field are set to invest $400-500 million to expand the project, according to NewMed Energy. The expansion comes after NewMed Energy received preliminary approval to increase natural gas exports. Israel's Energy Ministry has re-examined and approved the export of an additional 118 billion cubic meters (BCM) of natural gas. The Leviathan gas field, the largest in the Mediterranean, will see a significant boost in its natural gas export capacity following this approval.
