Iran has closed its airspace over Tehran, including the airspace of Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKA), to civilian flights within the Tehran FIR. This decision has led to the accumulation of international flights in the Persian Gulf area. The closure is in effect until further notice, as per the Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued. This move comes concurrently with Israel also closing its airspace, although the reasons behind these closures have not been disclosed.
