Universities across the globe are experiencing a surge in pro-Palestinian protests, with significant actions taking place at Harvard University, the University of Utah, and the University of Michigan. At Harvard, faculty members voted to allow 13 protesters to graduate, but the Harvard Corporation will make the final decision. Nearly 500 faculty members condemned the sanctions against the protesters. Meanwhile, the New School reached a deal with protesters to dismantle a campus encampment in exchange for a divestment vote from Israel. In Utah, police arrested 17 students during a crackdown on a Gaza solidarity encampment. The University of Michigan saw students hospitalized with chemical burns after police destroyed their encampment. Protests have also spread to international campuses, including the University of Amsterdam and Humboldt University in Berlin, where students occupied buildings and called for divestment from Israeli institutions.
