This temperature is also the highest ever reliably recorded in Africa for the month of June. Meanwhile, Cyprus experienced a national record for June with 45.0°C at Athenieu, and Turkey saw extraordinary heat with 46.2°C in Antalya Province. Greece also reported high temperatures, reaching up to 35°C in the middle of the night. Alula in Saudi Arabia set a monthly record with 47.0°C, and Ile Europa recorded a June minimum temperature of 26.4°C. These extreme temperatures mark a historic climatic event in the region.
