Petrol pumps across Rajasthan were closed as the Rajasthan Petroleum Dealers Association initiated a two-day strike, starting from 6 am on March 10, demanding a reduction in the value-added tax (VAT) levied on petrol and diesel. The strike led to deserted fuel stations in Jaipur and was observed in 18 districts across the state. However, in consideration of board exams, petrol pumps in Jaipur remained open. The strike was withdrawn after the association held talks with the State Government, concluding the protest before its scheduled end on March 12.
