Punjab Police has launched a comprehensive campaign to tackle drug addiction and related crimes. IG Harmanbir Singh Gill announced that the police are prepared to facilitate treatment for children addicted to drugs and provide all necessary support. As part of the initiative, ADGP Surinder Pal Singh Parmar conducted a search operation in Bathinda under Operation Eagle 4. Additionally, the Anti Drugs Cricket League was organized in Bathinda, featuring 16 teams and around 200 players, to inspire youth to lead a drug-free life, according to Bathinda SSP Deepak Pareek. In Delhi, the police organized a walkathon at India Gate as part of the 'Nasha Mukt Bharat Pakhwara' campaign to raise awareness about drug addiction. Actor Rannvijay Singha and Gautam Gambhir's coach Sanjay Bhardwaj participated in the event, emphasizing the importance of a drug-free environment. In Chandigarh, the Narcotics Control Bureau organized a bike rally to raise awareness for an addiction-free India in the presence of Deputy Director General Neeraj Kumar Gupta.
