After 49 years, Orange County investigators have identified 17-year-old Michael Ray Schlicht as a potential victim of serial killer Randy Kraft. Othram assisted in the identification, marking a breakthrough in the case. In a separate case, Othram also helped identify 1987 homicide victim Betty Lou Wisley in Tennessee. Additionally, DNA tests confirmed that cheek samples from the estranged wife of a murder suspect matched hairs found on the victims' bodies at Gilgo Beach. The identification of a 1997 homicide victim, Lorena Gayle Mosley, was also made with Othram's assistance in Washoe County. Furthermore, Othram contributed to identifying a 1994 homicide victim, Harold “James” Crawford, in Sedgwick County. The involvement of Othram in these cases highlights the significance of DNA technology in solving long-standing mysteries and bringing closure to families of victims.
