The Marin County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with Othram Inc. and the California Department of Justice, has successfully identified the remains of a man found in Muir Woods National Monument in November 1982. The man, previously known as John Doe, has been identified as Sigvard Svensson, born on February 4th, 1908. Svensson's remains were discovered near the Deer Park Fire Trail. This identification brings closure to a case that has remained unsolved for over four decades.
