The risk premium on French 10-year bonds over their German equivalents has reached significant highs. According to LSEG data, the premium hit 71 basis points (bps) on June 13, 2024, the highest since August 2022. The following day, the premium rose further to 74 bps, the highest since March 2020. By June 14, 2024, the premium on French 10-year bonds had surged to 77 bps, marking the highest level since February 2017.
