The Biden Administration is advancing its clean energy agenda with significant federal funding allocations aimed at bolstering the United States' clean technology sector. A total of $750 million in federal grant funds has been disbursed for projects focused on electrolyzer and fuel cell production, under the banner of #MadeInAmerica. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) awarded these grants to 52 projects, which are expected to enhance the country's manufacturing capabilities, enabling the production of 14 GW of fuel cells and 10 GW of electrolyzers annually. Additionally, the DOE announced $169 million in federal funding for domestic heat pump manufacturing, and another $90 million is available through the Resilient & Efficient Codes Implementation Grant program. This program aims to support the adoption of building energy codes, training, and technical assistance, further contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and energy costs for Americans.
