We are losing titans of journalism at The Washington Post. Both those with bylines and those who make everything run behind the scenes. It’s devastating.
The number of posts from talented @washingtonpost journalists who are leaving under the buyout in the last few days has been heartbreaking to see. When a newspaper loses experienced, savvy staffers, it cannot help but diminish the organization. Very sad to see.
Some personal/personnel news: I’ve accepted the @washingtonpost buyout and will be leaving on Dec. 31 after (yikes!) 35 years. Got a few plans (including freelancing to the Post). Excited (and a tiny bit apprehensive) about what comes next. Happy holidays to all!
