Specific locations such as Niwot, Gunbarrel, Erie, north Thornton, north Broomfield, north Westminster, Montbello, Green Valley Ranch, and north Aurora are already reporting hail up to golf ball size. Quarter-sized hail was reported in Broomfield, and half-dollar size hail was reported in north Westminster. Dew points in the 30s are being observed in the Denver area. The highest potential for severe storms will be after 2 PM, with the most significant activity occurring between 4 PM and 10 PM. More severe storms are likely on Saturday.
