For the second consecutive day, parts of Europe have been enveloped in a rare dusty haze originating from the Sahara Desert, affecting areas in France, Switzerland, Italy, southern Germany, and Ukraine. This phenomenon has turned the skies an orange hue and even created apocalyptic-looking scenes in the south of France. The dust clouds are a result of intense winds over the Sahara Desert lifting sand and dust into the air, with the Hydrometeorological Center noting that a wave of heat from the western Mediterranean has brought abnormally high air temperatures and carried dust from the Sahara to these regions. Imagery captured by Ennio D'Onofrio on March 29, including a METEOR M N2-3 shot, shows the extent of the Saharan sand being blown into Europe, with the phenomenon also leading to red sunsets photographed by @phi48 in Italy.

Okay, as Kyiv city authorities say, clouds of sand particles from Sahara have now reached Ukraine. I guess that's the best opportunity we in Ukraine can count on in terms of having a vacation on Mediterranean beaches these days.
