The central Gulf Coast is bracing for a potentially dangerous tornado outbreak tomorrow night, with the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) suggesting a further upgrade to a 'Moderate' risk is possible. The severe weather event, which is expected to be a problematic nighttime event, is forecasted to occur Monday night into Tuesday morning, with an 'Enhanced' risk level of 3 out of 5 already in place. This could include destructive winds of 60 to 75 mph, large hail, and strong tornadoes, some of which may be EF2+ and occur after dark. The SPC has maintained this 'enhanced risk' for parts of East, Central, and Southeast Alabama, with a 'slight risk' extending to areas as far north as Winfield, Oneonta, and Gadsden. Moreover, portions of Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana are also under the same risk level, with strong tornadoes, large hail, and damaging winds anticipated into the overnight hours.
