Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone maker, is expanding its EV production capacity by adding a second shift in June at the SU7 plant. The company sold over 7,000 units of its first model, the SU7 sedan, in April, becoming the country's 8th-largest EV upstart. Xiaomi delivered its 10,000th SU7 sedan on May 15, achieving this milestone in 43 days since the start of deliveries on April 3. The company aims to reach a target of 100,000 units this year.
