Malaysia has refuted US claims of violating sanctions on Iranian oil trade. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim stated that there is 'not one shred of evidence' of ship-to-ship transfers of sanctioned Iranian oil off Malaysia. Despite this, Iran International has obtained additional evidence suggesting that shipments to China are indeed originating from Malaysia. The US Treasury Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence recently met with the Malaysian Interior Minister to demand the suspension of such activities, as reported by The Diplomat newspaper.
