China has successfully completed its highest-altitude 220-kilovolt power transmission and transformation project on June 29. The project, which includes a tower standing 5,390 meters above sea level, is located in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It marks the country's first power transmission line crossing the Kunlun Mountains of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau and spans 210 kilometers. The project is situated in a rare metal mine industrial park and was completed by the State Grid Corporation of China on June 30.
