Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer BYD is expanding its business into the shipping industry and targeting Hyundai and Kia in South Korea with plans to launch EVs. BYD, along with CATL, is forming a partnership to build solid-state batteries as part of a government-led initiative in China.
