London has unveiled the Green Link Walk, the 8th route in the Walk London Network and a new 15-mile walking route aimed at promoting physical activity and environmental sustainability. The route, which spans from Epping Forest to Peckham, connects nearly 40 green spaces across several boroughs including the City of London, Southwark, Islington, Hackney, and Waltham Forest. This initiative, launched by Transport for London in collaboration with the City of London and the mentioned boroughs, marks the city's first new leisure walking path in almost two decades. Designed with accessibility in mind, the Green Link Walk has been carefully planned to remove obstacles, making it a welcoming path for all. The project has garnered support from various officials, including London's Walking & Cycling Commissioner Will Norman, who was present at the launch event at Spa Fields in Clerkenwell.
