Members of the Rise of the Moors group have been convicted for their involvement in armed standoffs on Massachusetts highways. Two Moors militiamen were found guilty for their roles in the 2021 Rte. 128 armed standoff, which caused traffic delays during a busy Fourth of July weekend. In a separate case, a large-scale methamphetamine trafficking ring member, Brian Keleman, was convicted after an investigation that led to the seizure of over 160 lbs of pure meth and various firearms. Additionally, Dr. Merideth Norris from Kennebunk, ME, was convicted of unlawfully distributing controlled substances, including oxycodone, hydromorphone, and fentanyl, following an FBI investigation. John Schurko, from Malden, MA, received a three-year prison sentence for robbing the Harvard Market using an airsoft gun in December 2021.
