Harvard University has been at the center of controversy regarding diversity statements and plagiarism allegations. Harvard professor James Hankins submitted a diversity commitment statement, but it was clarified that most teaching staff are not required to do so. The university also shared new details with Congress about the review of plagiarism allegations against Claudine Gay. Efforts to combat bigotry and permissible forms of on-campus protest were announced by Harvard leaders.
Decent statement from Harvard: “We reaffirm our commitment to the right to protest and dissent. We also reaffirm one may not exercise those rights in a way that interferes with members of the University in performance of their normal duties & activities.” https://t.co/G1kBWX725P

I corrected this post in a follow-up in the same thread, but I'll do it here, as well. Harvard does not currently require most of its teaching staff to complete diversity statements. The screenshot contains a statement which Hankins will submit if asked to do so in the future. https://t.co/smpYJFHQFt
