Denver and Colorado are experiencing above-average temperatures with a significant chance of scattered thunderstorms and severe weather across the state. The National Weather Service in Boulder reports thunderstorms developing from Park County eastward across the Palmer Divide area, with additional isolated storms possible in eastern Weld and western Morgan Counties. These storms may bring heavy rain, small hail, lightning, and gusty winds. Another round of storms is moving east across the mountains, potentially affecting the Limon area. The National Weather Service in Pueblo warns of isolated strong to severe storms expected across the eastern plains, along and north of Highway 50, with large hail and damaging wind gusts possible. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected again this afternoon.
