The latest updates for Meta's Quest 3 VR headset include the ability for apps to use hand tracking and controllers simultaneously, known as Multimodal. Additionally, a new feature called Wide Motion Mode expands the hand tracking volume to include tracking of the user's arms. Initial tests of Vision Pro hand tracking show impressive quality and accuracy but with higher lag compared to Quest 3, possibly due to different passthrough latency.
Vision Pro hand tracking first test 🙌 So far both disappointed and impressed... The quality and accuracy is fantastic but the lag with passthrough hands feels currently higher than on Quest 3. Could be explained by AVP's very low passthrough latency... ~11ms vs ~35ms for Q3 https://t.co/DNOxLvbUVN
