The United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights said it has verified at least 613 killings of Palestinians at aid distribution points run by the U.S.- and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation and in the vicinity of humanitarian convoys between 27 May and 27 June.

Spokeswoman Ravina Shamdasani told reporters in Geneva that the death toll is likely an undercount and that additional incidents have been logged since the cut-off date. While the agency has not assigned responsibility for every fatality, Shamdasani noted reports of Israeli shelling and live fire directed at civilians attempting to reach the sites. Limited U.N. access to the affected areas is hampering a fuller assessment.
