Ukraine's Largest Drone Attack on Moscow Downs 337 Drones, Kills Three Amid Peace Talks

Ukraine launched a significant drone attack on Moscow in the early hours of March 11, marking the largest such incident in 2025. Russian air defenses reported intercepting between 58 to 74 drones over the city, with a total of 337 drones downed across multiple Russian regions, including 73 near the capital. The attack resulted in the deaths of at least three people, including two meat warehouse workers, and injured 18 others, including three children, as reported by Russian agencies. The assault led to the temporary suspension of operations at Moscow's four airports, causing the diversion of numerous flights. Additionally, the attack caused damage to high-rise apartment blocks, parking lots, and sparked fires in the capital. The mayor of Moscow described the event as the largest drone attack on the city in recent times. This drone strike occurred as U.S. and Ukrainian officials were set to meet in Saudi Arabia to discuss potential peace negotiations, amidst ongoing military actions in the Kursk region where Russian forces are attempting to encircle Ukrainian troops.
