Nissan CEO Makoto Uchida Steps Down; Ivan Espinosa Appointed as Successor

Nissan Motor Co. announced that its CEO, Makoto Uchida, will step down effective March 31 after the company's recent poor financial results and the collapse of merger talks with Honda Motor Co. The decision was confirmed during a board meeting held on March 11. Ivan Espinosa, currently serving as Nissan's Chief Planning Officer, will assume the role of CEO starting April 1.
