Murilo Huff Wins Provisional Custody of 5-Year-Old Son Léo Amid Legal Battle Over Inheritance and Negligence Claims

Murilo Huff, singer and father of Léo, the five-year-old son he had with the late singer Marília Mendonça, has filed a legal petition seeking unilateral and total custody of his child. Until recently, custody of Léo was shared with Dona Ruth Moreira, mother of Marília Mendonça, who had been caring for the child. Huff stated that his request aims to allow him to fulfill his paternal role more closely and does not intend to distance Léo from his maternal family. He cited "serious and alarming situations" as reasons for the custody change but has not disclosed specific evidence publicly.

The decision allows Huff to have primary custody while the case proceeds, and Léo has since moved to Huff's residence. Dona Ruth and her legal team have expressed disagreement with the ruling, emphasizing the importance of family bonds and the grandmother's role. The dispute has drawn public attention, with Marília Mendonça's brother, João Gustavo, publicly defending his mother and urging the public to cease attacks against her.
