Lebanese Army Arrests 7 Individuals for Arms Trafficking and Rocket Launching Towards Israel in April 2025

The Lebanese Army has intensified its operations against arms smuggling and related activities along the Lebanon-Syria border. On April 15, the Army announced the arrest of two individuals in the Bekaa region as part of its ongoing efforts to combat weapons trafficking. One of the detainees is a Syrian national, identified as Ayin.Ha, who was found in possession of military weapons. The Army also conducted a raid on the home of a Lebanese national associated with Ayin.Ha. Furthermore, the Army reported the apprehension of 105 Syrians who had entered Lebanon illegally. On April 16, the Lebanese Army arrested two Palestinians for allegedly trafficking military weapons across the border. Additionally, three individuals suspected of launching rockets towards Israel were detained, including members of Hamas. These arrests were linked to two separate rocket launching incidents that occurred last month, with ongoing efforts to apprehend additional members of the involved group.
